The short version: the calculators run in your browser and the site keeps no account, profile or record of what you enter. Advertising partners may set cookies, and you can control that.
What the calculators do with your inputs
Income, expenses, filing status and dependents are processed entirely in your browser by JavaScript. They are not transmitted to Clear Self Tax's servers and are not stored by the site. When you use "Copy link to this result", your inputs are written into the page address so the link reproduces the result; anyone you share that link with can see those inputs. Clear the address bar or use the calculator without the link if you prefer not to.
What the site collects automatically
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (IP address, user agent, requested page, timestamp) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Cloudflare retains this in aggregate server logs under its own privacy policy. Clear Self Tax may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which reports page views and performance in aggregate and does not use cookies or track individuals across sites.
Advertising and cookies
Clear Self Tax displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by Google at google.com/settings/ads.
- You can opt out of many third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent dialog before any advertising cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time from the link in the footer of every page.
Affiliate links
Some links to third-party services are affiliate links. When you follow one, the destination may set a cookie to attribute a purchase to this site. Clear Self Tax receives only aggregate reporting from those programs, never your personal details.
What the site does not do
- No accounts, sign-ups, newsletters or forms that collect personal data.
- No selling or sharing of personal information for money.
- No content directed at children under 13, and no knowing collection of their data.
Your rights
Because Clear Self Tax holds no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct or delete on request — but if you believe otherwise, email support@clearselftax.com and it will be looked into. Residents of the EEA and UK have rights under the GDPR, and California residents under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what data is collected and to opt out of its sale or sharing; the cookie controls above are the mechanism for advertising data.
If you email support@clearselftax.com, the message and your address are kept for as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of data corrections. They are not added to any list.
Changes
Changes to this policy are published on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will be noted on the home page for 30 days.
